Benoit Tezenas du Montcel began his academic career with a Bachelor's degree (2012) and a Master's degree (2013) in Management at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, where he also obtained a university degree in Sociology (2013). He then pursued a Master's degree in Research in “General Policy and Organizational Strategy” (Master 101) at Paris-Dauphine University (2014). After a stint in management consulting, Benoit began his thesis in Strategic Management at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Cnam) in 2015. He spent the next five years at Cnam teaching management, organizational theory, and strategic management, as well as conducting research. He defended his thesis in May 2019.
During his thesis years, Benoit also taught at Dauphine, was a visiting researcher at the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge (UK), worked in partnership with companies, and wrote articles disseminating his research for the national press. Benoit is a specialist in the strategic management of new technologies and innovation, with a particular interest in collective strategies (alliances, ecosystems, etc.) implemented by companies to take advantage of the rise of 3D printing.
