Dana Diminescu is a sociologist, lecturer and associate professor at Télécom Paris (IP Paris). Her work on the ‘connected migrant’ has been pioneering in this field and has challenged traditional theories of migration studies.
She coordinated the e-Diapora Altas project and designed the JokaJobs app to help young job seekers find work.
She is also the coordinator of DiasporasLab, a member of the scientific council of Institut Convergence Migration and Institut d'études avancées at Aix Marseille Université (IMeRA), and a member of the editorial board of the journals Socio (published by FMSH Paris) and Hommes et Migrations.
