François Kepes

Cell biologist and biotechnologist, member of the French Academy of Technologies and the French Academy of Agriculture

François Kepes is a cell biologist and biotechnologist. He founded the Master 2 program in Systems and Synthetic Biology (mSSB).

He has been a member of the French Academy of Technologies since 2012. In 2022, he became a member of the scientific council for the PEPR MoleculArXiv project, and in 2025, he was appointed head of the Life Sciences section at the French Academy of Agriculture. In addition to this, he advises European funding agencies and is the editor of several international journals.
