Laure Tabouy

Researcher and Consultant in Neuroscience and Digital Ethics, PhD in Neuroscience and Doctoral Student in Philosophy & Operational Digital Reservist

Laure Tabouy is a neuroscientist and ethicist. She is a researcher and consultant in neuroscience and digital ethics (Digital Ethics Officer, EDHEC BS), holds a PhD in neuroscience and is a doctoral student in philosophy specialising in ethics at the CGGG at Aix-Marseille University, and is an operational digital reservist, CND, Ministry of the Armed Forces.

She holds a doctorate in neuroscience from Université Paris-Cité (2012) and a master's degree in ethics from Université Paris-Saclay (2021) and a Digital Ethics Officer certification (EDHEC BS, 2023). Since 2021, Laure has been engaged in a second doctorate in philosophy specialising in neuroethics at the Centre Gilles Gaston Granger (UMR 7304) at the University of Aix-Marseille. Through a critical analysis of neuroethics, she is considering how neuroethics can break out of the techno-solutionist political and economic shackles imposed by the development of neurotechnologies and the convergence of neuroscience and AI. The aim is to invite neuroethics to open up and integrate an anthropological and philosophical dimension that it lacks if it is to be independent and carry out its work as a compass, a critical conscience of the neurosciences.
