Xavier Chateau

His research, conducted at the Navier Laboratory (IP Paris), focuses on the rheology of colloidal and non-colloidal suspensions, as well as scaling approaches for pastes and heterogeneous materials. He is also interested in the macroscopic modelling of heterogeneous materials, contributing to advances in the fields of construction materials and complex fluids. He teaches continuum mechanics, complex fluids and applied rheology.

Xavier Chateau is also Deputy Director of Research at the École nationale des ponts et chaussées and directs the Master's programme in Materials Science for Sustainable Construction at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
