Anna Simoni is Director of Research at CNRS/CREST, Professor of Econometrics and Statistics at ENSAE Paris and part-time Lecturer at Ecole Polytechnique (IP Paris). She obtained her PhD from the Toulouse School of Economics in 2009 and the Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) in 2017. Before joining the CNRS, Anna Simoni was Assistant Professor of Statistics at Bocconi University in Milan between 2009 and 2012. She was an associate researcher at the University of Mannheim. In 2019 the CNRS awarded her the Bronze Medal. She is Associate Editor of the Journal of Econometrics since 2021, and Fellow of the Louis Bachelier Institute and of Hi!Paris. Her research interests include econometrics and high-dimensional statistics, and forecasting and nowcasting.
