Cédric Philibert

Associate researcher at the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) and the Australian National University (ANU)

Cédric Philibert is an energy and climate analyst. He is a research associate at the Institut Français des Relations Internationales (IFRI) and the Australian National University (ANU). He teaches at Sciences Po Paris. He worked from 2000 to the end of 2019 at the International Energy Agency (IEA), in the Energy and Environment Division, then the Renewable Energy Division. He was first a journalist, then an advisor to the French Minister of the Environment (1988-1990). From 1992 to 1998 he advised the Director General of the French Agency for Energy Transition (ADEME). A graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Grenoble, Mr Philibert has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and other newspapers, and contributed to many books and reports.
