senior Army officer specialising in human resources for hard-to-find roles

Clémence Foufa is a senior officer in the Army, specialising in human resources for rare skill sets. Her work focuses on the use of simulation to identify these skills for recruitment purposes in specialist units and in the field of cyber security.

She conducted research coordinated by General Phelut and Jean Langlois-Berthelot, which formed the basis of a professional doctorate (French Army and ESCP). This work also resulted in a series of articles in specialist journals.

She has taught at the University of Palermo, where her lectures were recognised with an award. She has also contributed to the Innovation and Technology module of the MTI (Management of Technologies and Innovation) Master’s programme, which brings together Paris Dauphine University, the CEA and the École des Mines. She has also participated in workshops organised with the Charles de Gaulle Foundation, coordinated by Jean Langlois-Berthelot.

As a member of selection panels and an examiner for numerous higher military education entrance examinations, she also teaches at the Higher Military Education Programme in Science and Technology (EMSST).

She continues her research and development work in the field of simulation, notably in partnership with the Army.
