David Houben is Director of Agrosciences College at UniLaSalle (Beauvais) and a teacher-researcher in soil sciences. His research focuses on the study of soil-plant interactions in order to support the development of multifunctional and sustainable agro-ecosystems. He has been interested in biochar since 2010, initially for the rehabilitation of metal-contaminated soils, then for its use in agriculture and horticulture.
