David Thesmar

Professor of Financial Economics, Sloan School of Management (MIT)

David Thesmar is Professor of Financial Economics at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Previously, he was a professor at HEC Paris (2005-2016). He is a research associate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and associate editor of the Journal of Finance and the Review of Finance. He has published, with Augustin Landier, Le Grand Méchant Marché (Flammarion, 2007), La Société translucide (Fayard, 2010) and more recently Le Prix de nos valeurs (Flammarion, 2022). A former student of École Polytechnique and ENSAE, he holds a doctorate from the EHESS and is a graduate of the London School of Economics.
