Fanny Mousseau

postdoctoral researcher at LOB* at École Polytechnique (IP Paris)

Fanny Mousseau is a postdoctoral researcher at the *Laboratory of Optics and Biosciences (LOB, CNRS UMR 7645, INSERM U1182, École Polytechnique). She obtained her PhD in Physico-Chemistry at the Laboratoire Matière et Systèmes Complexes (MSC) at Université Denis Diderot (2013-2017, Paris) before joining the LOB in 2019 after a post-doctoral fellowship at the Institut de Chimie-Physique (ICP) at Université Paris Saclay. Her interests lie in the study and use of nanoparticles to understand their interaction with biological systems (notably the lung) or to develop medical diagnostic tools (such as a dosimeter for radiotherapy). Since joining the LOB's NanoImaging team, she has been working to develop diagnostic tests that are cheap, portable, quantitative and multiplexed. To achieve this goal, she takes advantage of the optical properties of luminescent nanoparticles synthesised by Thierry Gacoin's team (PMC, École Polytechnique).
