Ghislain Trullenque

Geothermal researcher at Institut polytechnique UniLaSalle and scientific coordinator of the MEET project

Dr. HDR Ghislain Trullenque is a structural geologist graduated from University of Basel (Switzerland) where he studied the polyphase deformation of the Pennine Front within the Alpine orgene and the deformation processes of calcareous ultramylonites. He then pursued his research using experimental deformation techniques and microstructural characterization in several laboratories in the USA, Netherlands and Germany. For the past 11 years, he has been a research professor at UniLaSalle Polytechnic Institute (Beauvais, France), where he was appointed scientific coordinator of the MEET project, which explored the development of EGS geothermal energy on a European scale. He also coordinated a strategic partnership project to set up a MASTER-level training course in geothermal energy. In recent years, he has been exploring the potential of geothermal reservoirs and strategic mineral resources, including lithium.
