Giada Pistilli is a philosopher by training, a doctoral student in her final year at Sorbonne University and affiliated with the CNRS Science, Norms, Democracy laboratory. She has been involved in industrial research for more than 3 years, and is now a senior ethicist at Hugging Face, where she works on interdisciplinary research topics in ethics applied to Artificial Intelligence, in particular on the ethical and legal issues related to the contents shared on Hugging Face's open-source platform (datasets, models, demos). As a member of the Machine Learning & Society team, she coordinated the drafting of an ethical charter for the open-science project BigScience, and helped in the drafting of its technical documentation and RAIL license.
