Irène Georgescu

Irène Georgescu is a full professor of management sciences at Montpellier Management, University of Montpellier.

Her research focuses on management and performance measurement in healthcare organizations, with a particular emphasis on healthcare professionals, their working conditions, their well-being, and their resilience.

More broadly, her research aims to understand how management systems can reconcile the performance demands of healthcare organizations with their missions, the needs of healthcare professionals, and the human challenges associated with the delivery of care.

She coordinates the European APOLLO2028 project, which has received 5.6 million euros in funding under the Horizon Europe program. Bringing together European and international partners from various disciplines, this project aims to better understand the determinants of healthcare professionals’ resilience and mental health at the individual, collective, and organizational levels.
