Israa Salma

Israa Salma is a researcher in health management. She holds a Ph.D. from the École des hautes études en santé publique (EHESP) and joined Gustave Roussy in 2022, then the i3-CRG (CNRS, Institut Polytechnique de Paris–École Polytechnique) in 2023.

Her research focuses on the organization and personalization of care pathways, with a particular interest in digital health, remote monitoring, care coordination, health inequalities, and the implementation of organizational innovations. She is also interested in the determinants of motivation and treatment adherence. Her work employs qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches, as well as systematic reviews and case studies.

Her career combines clinical experience, academic research, and expertise in improving the quality of care. Following a dissertation on the implementation of hospital certification processes and the role of context, leadership, and managerial practices, her postdoctoral research has focused in particular on the design and evaluation of digital tools aimed at improving the continuity, personalization, and equity of care pathways.

She is the author and co-author of several articles published in international scientific journals, including the Journal of Medical Internet Research, The Breast, BMC Geriatrics, BMC Health Services Research, Nursing Open, Healthcare, and Cancers. Her work is also presented at national and international conferences.
