Jean-Christophe Géminard

CNRS research director at the Physics Laboratory (ENS Lyon)

A physicist and current director of Physics Laboratory, he is currently involved in the effort being made by French scientists to help our Olympic athletes in their quest for medals at the upcoming Paris 2024 games. He is contributing to the Sciences2024 initiative. He is using his skills in mechanics and materials physics to study the interaction between ball and racket (or table) in table tennis (Théophile Rémond's thesis funded by the GDR Sport & Activité Physique) or, again, to develop an instrumented wheel for wheelchair athletics as part of the ANR PARAPERF project.
