Jean Langlois-Berthelot is a specialist in innovation and complex risks. He has over ten years of experience in these fields, having served as an advisor to central administration directors and team manager. He was appointed Lieutenant Colonel on active duty, Head of Division, on an ad hoc basis in 2024. In addition to his operational responsibilities, he was in charge of the Army's professional doctoral programme run with ESCP, during which he set up the first classified professional doctorates based on a dedicated methodology. He also held the CEMST Chair on the theme of ‘Technical Systems – Human Systems’.
Alongside his operational and entrepreneurial activities, he conducts applied scientific research and publishes regularly in peer-reviewed journals and the press. His expertise has led him to collaborate with Stanford University, École Polytechnique, DGA, ISAE-SupAero, ENSTA, INSP, DGRIS, SciencesPo, ESSEC, IGPDE, etc. He has also regularly shared his expertise with national elected officials.
