Jérôme Fontane

Lecturer in the Aerodynamics, Energetics and Propulsion Department of ISAE-SUPAERO

After graduating from ENSICA in 2002, he continued his studies with a PhD in Fluid Dynamics at the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse. After a period at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics of Toulouse and then at the University of Saint-Andrews (UK), he joined ISAE-SUPAERO in 2010 as a lecturer. He teaches thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and aerodynamics. His research activities focus on fundamental fluid dynamics (instabilities, transition, and turbulence of canonical flows representative of aeronautical applications). Since 2019, he is reorienting part of his activities, both in research and teaching, on environmental issues (planetary limits, climate, energy) in connection with the aeronautical sector.
