Joël Aubin is a research engineer at INRAE (Institut National pour l'Agriculture, l'Alimentation et l'Environnement). He is based in Rennes at the UMR SAS, of which he is deputy director. His research projects focus on environmental assessment and the design of farming systems with livestock. He is a specialist in the application of the Life Cycle Assessment method to agricultural systems. He studies aquaculture systems in particular, with an affinity for integrated multitrophic aquaculture. He is involved in research projects at national and European level, and with a number of foreign countries in Asia, South America and Africa.
