Previously, Marc-Antoine Eyl-Mazzega worked at the International Energy Agency, where he was in charge of Russia and sub-Saharan Africa, dealing in particular with gas and oil analyses in these areas and institutional relations. He also worked at the Robert Schuman Foundation, where he led an observatory on Ukraine. Marc-Antoine Eyl-Mazzega has dual French and German nationality and holds a doctorate from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris.
