Marc-Olivier Boisset

Research fellow at the ‘Changing Conflicts’ research cluster of the Coëtquidan Schools Research Centre (CREC)

Marc-Olivier Boisset is a lieutenant-colonel in the French Army, a qualified senior military instructor and a graduate of the École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr. He holds a PhD from EHESS and PSL University on cyber crisis management. He taught the course ‘Big Data and Decision Science’ alongside Jean Langlois-Berthelot at Sciences Po. He also regularly lectures at EPITA on issues relating to cyber crisis management. His publications in specialist journals focus on cyber crisis management and, more broadly, on the strategic challenges associated with new technologies. He developed ARCHOS in-house within the armed forces, in collaboration with Jean Langlois-Berthelot. This innovative prototype is designed to model and simulate phenomena related to strategic alerts in order to assess them. It was presented to several officials responsible for these matters within the Army. Its development led to a professional PhD (Army and ESCP Business School), undertaken between 2024 and 2026 under the supervision of Jean Langlois-Berthelot.
