A graduate of the Catholic University of Leuven, Paul Mannes began his career at PetroFina, which joined Total in 1999. His career path led him to various functional and operational positions (audit, organisation, strategy, sales) in the group's various business lines, including the implementation of SAP and the management of related projects in the European subsidiaries since 1988. Paul Mannes then joined the marketing division, which entrusted him with the successive management of subsidiaries in Hungary, Italy, France and Belgium before taking over the Aviation division in 2018.
