A graduate of École Polytechnique (1997), an engineer from the Ponts, eaux et forêts and holder of a doctorate in economics, Renaud Crassous joined the EDF Group in 2009 as an economist engineer in the Strategy and Forecasting Department. In 2012 and 2013, he coordinated the debate on the energy transition within the EDF Group and was part of the group of experts for the national debate. In 2014, he joined the Generation and Hydraulic Engineering Division as Operations Manager for the Dordogne basin dams. In 2017, he took over the management of the CNEPE, the engineering centre responsible for the conventional and cold spring parts of power plants in operation and under construction. In 2020, he became SMR project director for EDF.
