After completing a thesis on atmospheric dynamics at Université Pierre et Marie Curie (1999-2002), Riwal Plougonven spent two years as a post-doctoral fellow at National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, USA (2002-2004). He was Lecturer at University of St Andrews for one year, Senior Lecturer at the Dynamic Meteorology Laboratory (LMD) at ENS from 2005 to 2012, and since 2012 has been Professor at École Polytechnique, still at the LMD. My research focuses on atmospheric dynamics and weather forecasting for the energy sector.
