Valérie Desauziers, who holds a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, is a full professor at IMT Mines Alès and heads the school’s Pau campus. In 2020, her research team on Material-Environment Interactions joined UMR 5254 IPREM (Institute of Analytical Sciences and Physical Chemistry for the Environment and Materials) . Her research focuses on the metrology of trace VOCs and SVOCs in the air and at the material/air interface, as well as on the study of material/air transfer of emerging pollutants to assess their impact on the environment and health. One of the main areas of application for her research is indoor air quality in buildings.
