Vincent Picandet has been a lecturer at Université Bretagne-Sud in Lorient since 2002. He is currently in charge of the civil engineering course (Bachelor's and Master's degrees) in the Faculty of Science at Université Bretagne-Sud (UBS). He created the Licence Pro Eco-Matrériaux, Eco-construction course, which opened in 2008 at the UBS. In research, he has co-directed several theses on eco-materials, particularly on hemp and flax concretes. The first one on the subject at UBS was defended in 2009. Based on his experience on the sustainability of mineral concretes, he is currently interested in bio-sourced concretes.
