Director of the Laboratory for Bio-Inspired Chemistry and Ecological Innovations

Claude Grison is Director of Research at the CNRS and Director of the Bio-inspired Chemistry and Ecological Innovations Laboratory. She is at the origin of the concept of Ecocatalysis®, which has led to the emergence of a new line of research at the interface of Bio-inspired Chemistry and Scientific Ecology; it corresponds to a global approach to sustainable development leading today to the development of a new green sector based on the ecological rehabilitation of polluted or degraded sites, the preservation of wetlands and an unprecedented chemical and economic valorization of the phytotechnologies developed. His research activities have led to the creation of two companies, Bioinspir and Laboratoires Bioprotection. Claude Grison is the author of 175 publications and books, 45 patents and 192 conferences. His work has been awarded 13 scientific prizes including the European Inventor 2022, the A. Joannides Prize of the Académie des Sciences 2016, the Man-Nature Prize of the Sommer Foundation 2016 and the CNRS Innovation Medal 2014. Claude Grison is a member of the Académie Nationale de Pharmacie and the European Academy of Sciences.
