After studying oenology, Kees van Leeuwen completed his doctoral thesis on a study of Saint-Emilion region. He worked between 1992 and 2017 for Château Cheval Blanc, where he was successively Technical Director and then consultant, notably in charge of research and development. His research topics cover the notions of “domain” (soil and climate) in viticulture and the effect of climate change. He is the founder and editor of the scientific journal OENO One (https://oeno-one.eu/).
