Jean-Pierre Poulain holds the chair of “Food Studies: Food, Cultures and Health” at Taylor's Toulouse University Center, Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia. He is a member of the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherche: Travail, Organisation et Pouvoir (CERTOP UMR-CNRS 5044). He is the author of Sociologie de l'obésité, PUF (2009) as well as of Dictionnaire des cultures alimentaires, PUF (2018). He also co-chaired the working group “Body image and eating disorder” with Marcel Rufo, for the Ministry of Health.
