Manon Eskenazi is a researcher in urban planning at the City, Mobility, and Transport Laboratory (LVMT). In 2022, she defended her dissertation on cycling policies and practices in Greater Lyon and Hamburg. She is currently interested in the processes of transferring the “sustainable mobility” paradigm to French, European, Asian, and African contexts. In particular, she studies the transformations brought about by sustainable mobility technologies and infrastructure on lifestyles and urban organization. She is currently leading the WE-EMODS collaborative project (funded by I-SITE Gustave Eiffel), which analyzes the impacts of the electrification of commercial motorcycles on drivers’ work practices in Lomé, Jakarta, and Paris.
