Thomas Rhys Evans

Dr Thomas Rhys Evans is a Professor in Occupational Psychology and Open Scholarship at the University of Greenwich, London, UK. Tom is a champion of open research culture and has led and contributed to many local, national (e.g., UK Reproducibility Network: UKRN) and international (Framework for Open and Reproducible Research Training: FORRT) communities and projects focusing on the reform of our research practices and environment. This includes a number of funded projects; creating resources for academics to embed open scholarship into education (Dutch Research Foundation: NWO), investigating the accessible feedback mechanisms available in the modern research cycle (Leverhulme Trust) and championing reproducibility initiatives within his own institution (HORIZON-WIDERA).

Thomas Rhys Evans is the Co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of Open Psychology Data and is proud Recommender for Peer Community In (PCI) handling and championing Registered Reports as a new publication process. Tom is value-led and when he is not championing scientific reform to promote transparency and rigor, he is planting trees at the farm where he lives with his wife and two children.
